There are two sides in every story. In WONDER, readers fell in love with Auggie. They felt for him as he attended a real school for the first time and dealt with being bullied for his differences.

THE JULIAN CHAPTER is the other side of the story, one that readers of WONDER by RJ Palacio won’t want to miss.

Don’t remember Julian?  Julian was August’s bully. From the very first day these two met things were uncomfortable, with Julian treating August as if he had the plague.

“I shrugged and walked over to the door. Julian moved out of the way quickly, like he was afraid I might accidentally touch him as I passed by.”

Once August started attending school for real, things only got worse. Julian said hurtful things about August and tried to turn the school against him. While many characters were guilty of treating August wrong throughout WONDER, Julian was culprit number one.

“If I looked like that,” said the Julian voice, kind of laughing, “I swear to God, I’d put a hood over my face every day.”

WONDER told August’s story through six different viewpoints, but Julian’s point of view was never shared. Readers could only guess what Julian was thinking as he bullied August.

Until now. THE JULIAN CHAPTER will finally reveal the bully’s side of the story. Why is Julian such a bully? Does he have any chance for redemption? Download the eShort to find out.
